recent fashion inspo

movements, people and even articles of clothing that have been inspiring how i want to look recently (late october-early november)

colorful knitwear. i really like warm-toned yarn, usually gives it a 70s feel. i want to thrift a colorful, soft scarf soon, hopefully before it gets even colder. i especially enjoy these kinds of pieces when they’re an accent to a neutral toned outfit, like browns and muted greys and greens.

thick silver. i’ve been thinking about knights and medieval art a lot, especially the portrayals that were revived in the 70s, like excalibur and maybe even monty python’s holy grail. i love the dreamy, flowing look of them, with glowy yellows and whites against grainy blue… of course accompanied by the silver armor of the knights.
awesome photo of donovan

piercings, etc. i just gauged my ears up to 1g (7mm) with metal tunnels, and i’m surprised at how much i like it. i always assumed i would be a plug only guy but i’m sooo in love with how it looks. my septum is also at a 12g right now, unfortunately, the weather is making it hurt a lot. my plan is to size it up to 10g or 8g, and put in a biig captive bead ring soon. as i expected, i don’t really like the look of a pincer (unpopular!!). i have also been dreaming of piercing my lip (right labret) and of course, my eyebrow… eventually…
like always i’ve been thinking about leather. i got a thick leather jacket in september and it is awesome. i need to get some pins to wear on it; i’ve been trying to find some old vintage ones, especially with weird art or political messages. unfortunately my local antique stores mostly sell trash!!! but i am also in the market for some leather pants, i think, especially anything with laces, straps or metal buckles on them. HOT!!!

one last thing… been deeply missing this blue sailor coat i thrifted last winter and i can’t seem to find at all. i dream of it every day.
